this is completely un-art related, but hey i need to get this off my chest. yesterday i had the worst day at work. i work in a hardware store and the ONE thing that angers me in ways i cant describe, is being told by old people that "i can't help them" Why? bc im a woman in a mans job thats why. so yesterday im up on a ladder rearranging a display next to the front door. a garden stake had fallen infront of the door and an old man was trying to get in. so rather than wait for me to move the stake, he decides that slamming into the door multiple times is a much better idea. as he's slamming im yelling "STOP STOP STOP" at him. finally he gets in and says "oh do YOU work here" i say yes and then he asks me for electric motor brushes. i ask him what they're for and he says "oh you dont know" and begins to walk away. now i dont know why, but that was the last straw (a nuclear bomb went off inside my head) so i call after him "if you'd tell me what they're used for i could point you in the right direction" and he gets IN MY FACE literally and says "ELECTRIC MOTOR BRUSHES" "What are they used for?" and he just walks away "and i say "you didnt even give me a chance " and he begged to differ. but at least i wast the only person he harassed. he did the same thing to Sam and to my boss who appropriately threw him out of the store. bastard.
